Terms & ticket policy

These terms cover tickets bought on this site from The Why Events, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra(“we”, “us”). Booking a ticket means you accept them.
Your profile
- You need a profile to hold a ticket. One profile per person, with details that are true — name, mobile number, date of birth and gender are used to check you in and to enforce entry rules.
- Your username is yours alone. We may reclaim a username that impersonates someone else.
- We may suspend a profile that we believe is being used to resell tickets or to get around an event's entry rules.
Tickets
- Refunds follow each event's schedule. The schedule is shown on the event page; see the refund & cancellation policy for how it works.
- One ticket admits one person. Your entry QR is tied to your profile and works once. A screenshot sent to someone else will be refused at the door once the original has been scanned.
- Tickets bought for guests must be claimed by that guest on their own profile before the event. An unclaimed ticket does not get anyone in.
- You may transfer a ticket to another verified profile that meets the event's entry rules. Transfers are done through us, not by handing over a QR.
- Reselling tickets above the price paid is not allowed, and a ticket found listed for resale may be cancelled without refund.
At the door
- Carry photo ID that matches the name on your profile. We may ask for it.
- Age and gender rules, where an event has them, are shown on the event page and checked at entry.
- Doors close at the time stated on the event page. Arriving after that may mean no entry, and no refund.
- We may refuse entry to, or remove, anyone who is unsafe, abusive, visibly intoxicated beyond the venue's limits, or in breach of the venue's own rules. No refund is due in those cases.
- Venues may run their own security checks and restrict what you can bring in.
Payments
- Payments are handled by Razorpay. We never see or store your card or bank details.
- Prices are in Indian rupees. The payment gateway fee is shown separately in the total before you pay and is passed on to you.
- Coupon and referral codes are ours to withdraw or limit at any time, and can't be exchanged for cash.
Photography
- We photograph and film our events, and use those pictures on this site and on social media. If you'd rather not appear, tell a member of the team at the event or email us afterwards and we'll take the picture down.
Changes and cancellation
- Line-ups, timings, venues and activities can change. We'll tell you by email and on the event page.
- If an event is rescheduled your ticket stays valid for the new date.
- If we cancel an event, the refund policy applies.
Liability
- Our events include physical activity — runs, ice baths, sport and dancing among them. You take part at your own risk and should not take part against medical advice.
- Look after your own belongings. We aren't responsible for anything lost or damaged at a venue.
- Nothing here limits any liability that Indian law does not allow us to limit.
